Robbie fairley

Pastor

Robbie was called as pastor of Pleasant Grove in February of 2015. He is a native of Gulfport, Mississippi where he retired in 2008 from a lengthy career at United Parcel Service. He was ordained into the gospel ministry in 2011. He is a graduate of Campbellsville University where he earned both a B.S. in Pastoral Ministries and a Master of Theology degree in 2014.  


Robbie and his wife, Mary Jo are the parents of Chris, Christle, Clayton, and Kayla; and they are Paw and Me-Me to Savannah, Shyanne, Jude, Fletcher and Sawyer. In his spare time, Robbie enjoys spending time with his family, UK basketball, fishing, model railroading, and sharpening his culinary skills.

Jon Thornsberry

Youth Minister

Jon was called to be the youth minister at PG in 2015. Before that he had 4 years of working with youth while he was a student at Campbellsville University, where he is working on finishing his degree in Psychology with a minor in Pastoral Ministries. He was born and raised in Taylorsville, Ky.


He is married to Lauren Thornsberry, who is a teacher in Jefferson County. They have one son, Luke Thornsberry, born in 2014.


Jon enjoys cooking, art, video games, building and maintaining saltwater aquariums, reading, and spending time with his wife and son. He believes that youth are not just the future of the church but important members of the church already, and that discipling these youth is one of the most important task a church has.

JAckie Clark

Children's minister

Jackie was called to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church as Children's Minister in April of 2016. She has been working with Children since she was a teen and has a Bachelors degree from University of So. Florida in Elementary Educations and a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands. She has taught elementary school since 1992 and is currently teaching at Roby Elementary.


She has been married to Mike Clark since 1994 and they have two sons, Jason and Joshua.


Jackie enjoys reading, watching sports, and spending time with her family. She says that working with children and being an obedient servant to the Lord has always given her great joy!! God revealed to her the calling to work with children when she was just 16 and since that time she has had the priviledge of serving as a Youth Minister and now serving at PG as Children's Director. She says that her goal in ministry is to show God's great love to all children and their families.  


Tim Hooper

Interim Worship Leader

Tim joined the staff at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in March 2017. He and his wife, Venita, are natives of Henderson, Kentucky and currently reside in Campbellsville, Kentucky.

Ordained into the gospel ministry in 2006, Tim earned his Bachelor of Church Music Degree in 2002 and Master of Church Music Degree in 2003 at Campbellsville University and currently serves as a faculty member there. He also earned the Master of Information and Library Science Degree at the University of Kentucky in 2005.

Tim and Venita have three sons, Neil, Clay, and Glen, and one grandson, Jaxson.

Tim’s goal as a minister is to lead people in meaningful worship while facilitating a thriving and growing music ministry that encourages participation of all members.
